Ibanez EHB1505MS-PLF Multi-Scale 2019 Headless 5-String Electric Bass

This is an Ibanez EHB1505MS-PLF Multi-Scale Headless 5-String Electric Bass in Pacific Blue Burst Flat finish. Made in Indonesia in 2019, this bass consists of a Selected Light Weight African Mahogany body with a Poplar Burl top, a 9-piece Panga Panga/Walnut neck, and a 24-fret Panga Panga fingerboard. Other appointments include a MR5HS bridge, Black hardware, and a set of Nordstrand Custom Big Split Pickups. These pickups are wired to controls for volume, balancer, EQ bypass switch, and a Vari-Mid 3-Band EQ.

The 9-pc Roasted Panga Panga/Walnut EHB5 neck plays exactly as expected from Ibanez’s EHB range. A sleek and fast design with a rounder D profile than the more modern speed necks allows for a more traditional feel to a notably modern design. The satin finish to the neck feels comfortable under the thumb, allowing easy gliding up and down the register. The headless construction of the bass ensures that neck-dive will never be an issue, coupled with the ergonomic shape of the body, this bass is a delight to hold and play.

The Nordstrand Custom Big Split Pickups pickups have a natural warm tone that present full bodied notes with clarity. The range of controls that are available to the player give a wide variety of tonal range that can be explored with multiple combinations. The Vari-Mid 3 band EQ offers an extraordinary range of controls designed to offer the player the ability to dial in the perfect tone with the utmost precision, featuring a Mid frequency & mid boost/cut control, treble boost/cut or passive tone and a bass boost/cut. If this wasn’t enough the pickup balancer also offers a smooth blend between the pickups that the player can choose to engage in any setting.
