Gibson Les Paul '100' Studio Manhattan Midnight 2015 Electric Guitar

This is a Gibson Les Paul ‘100’ Studio in Manhattan Midnight finish. Made in the USA in 2015, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Flamed Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Satin nickel hardware is fitted including a StopBar tailpiece & Nashville ToM bridge, as well as an upgraded set of Grover Locking tuners. A pair of Gibson passive humbucking pickups are installed, with a ‘57 Classic in the neck position & a ‘57 Classic Plus in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch & independent volume & tone controls, with push/pull volume pots which split the coils.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the SlimTaper profile feeling slender in the hand without being too thin. There is a nicely flattened area to the centre rear which encourages ergonomic thumb positioning & facilitates technical playing. The traditional 12” fingerboard radius strikes the perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and smooth lead lines, making for a truly authentic yet refined Les Paul playing experience. The addition of the G-Force robotic tuning machines ensures that tuning is fast and effortless, with alternative tunings ready to play at the touch of a button.

The pair of Gibson ‘57 Classic humbuckers in this guitar offer warm and rich tones, exactly as you would expect from a Les Paul. The neck position is thick and creamy, saturating beautifully into full-bodied distortion as you crank the gain. The bridge position is as bright and biting as you could ever need, helping you to cut through any mix with your rock rhythm tones. The addition of individual coil splits add versatility with thinner tones on offer, ensuring that this very practical instrument is ready for wherever the gig takes you. This guitar truly is a fantastic celebration of its inventor’s 100th birthday.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. A mild chip to the finish is present to the rear face top edge, this has exposed the wood beneath. Light markings which can only be seen under direct light are present to the front face towards the top edge, this is from previous use of a clip on tuner. Light to mild scratching is present to all aspects of the headstock, this is most apparent to the rear face and is consistent to where the original G-Force tuning machines were installed.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Very light scratching is present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can only be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position. All other aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching and markings visible only under direct light, the most apparent scratching can be seen to the front face bass side of the pickups. Light markings are present to the rear face, these display light haziness to the finish.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent to the early register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16” socket) included.

Hardware: Overall excellent condition> A previous owner has swapped out the original Gibson G-Force tuning machines for a set of Grover locking machines, the original G-Force tuning machines, battery and charger all included. Replacement Bone nut included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
