ESP LTD Ron Wood Black 2017 Electric Guitar

This is an ESP LTD Ron Wood Electric Guitar in Gloss Black finish. Made in Korea in 2017, this double-bound guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include upgraded Guyker locking tuners, a Traditional Flat-Mount bridge, Jumbo frets, and a set of Seymour Duncan STL-2/SH-1 HS pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.

The Maple neck plays well, with the ‘C’ profile feeling fast and articulate, whilst the Satin finish to the rear ensures effortless transitions into any position. The Maple fingerboard provides a robust and durable playing surface, and with its 9.5” radius offers a perfect marriage between comfortable playability and modern practicality. The single cut-away design provides the player with extended reach into the upper register, ensuring you can make use of all 22 Jumbo frets.

Amplified, the Seymour Duncan SH-1 humbucker pickup installed in this guitar provides a warm and rich tone in the neck position that sounds glassy and sparkly with clean settings. Rolling back the tone control offers an almost jazzy sound, whilst increasing the gain brings a full and detailed tone for solos. The Seymour Duncan STL-2 single-coil bridge pickup provides all of the T-style twang and bite with searing highs sounds that will cut right through the mix, whilst offering rich and creamy tonalities when dialling the volume back, perfect for blues and country solo tones.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the headstock.

Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.

Body: Overall excellent condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is common with high gloss finish.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Excellent condition. The nut has been replaced for a slightly ill fitting black graphtech which overhangs slightly (<1mm) on the treble side. This has been slotted to accurate depths in line with factory specs. The tuners have been replaced for Guyker locking tuners. Original parts not included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
