Alusonic Django Standard 5 Gloss Audi RS Nardo Grey 2011 5-String Bass - Description

This is an Alusonic Django Standard 5 in Gloss Audi RS Nardo Grey. Made in Italy in 2011 this 5 string bass features a bolt-on construction consisting of a Selected Alder body, a Hard Maple neck and 24 fret Hard Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a Black Alusonic Aluminium with Quick Release System and a set of Black Hipshot Ultralites tuning machines. An Alusonic Alnico5 Humbucker is featured in the bridge position whilst a Alusonic Alnico5 Single Coil is positioned in the middle/neck, these are wired to a %-way pickup selector, master volume and independent bass and treble controls.

The Satin finish Hard Maple neck plays superbly, feeling effortless and enduring adding to the high quality nature of this instrument. The Custom “C/V” profile provides a dependable grip without being too cumbersome, complemented well by the 1.72” nut width that offers comfortable string spacing without feeling unwieldy. The dual cutaway design delivers unobstructed access to the higher register, while the smoothly contoured body rewards the player with a connected playing experience, really letting you feel every note.

The Django Standard 5 has a tight, modern sound, with a rich yet controlled low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with clear and precise highs. The pair of Alusonic pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones that are sure to add some grunt to any band mix; live or in the studio. There is plenty of low-end rumble, but the pickups also do a good job of capturing the attack and sparkle of your playing, ensuring that this bass delivers a strong backbone for the rest of the band to lock into. Overall a really solid workhorse bass with a lovely modern feel!
